Konica Minolta India Announces Strategic Leadership Changes; Appoints Katsuhisa Asari as Managing Director

Kurt Asari will be driving the company’s digital transformation (DX) initiatives, strategic partnerships and business growth to boost shareholder value.

India, April 05,2022: Konica Minolta today announced the appointment of Katsuhisa (Kurt) Asari as the new Managing Director taking over the baton from Tai Nizawa. Tai Nizawa will transition to Konica Minolta Asia as the Managing Director to oversee the expansion of the brand’s portfolio across 14 markets from Singapore.

Kurt Asari has been associated with Konica Minolta India since 2018 as General Manager of Business Planning. In his new role, Kurt Asari will drive Konica Minolta’s business and technology strategy to further the company’s digital transformation (DX) initiatives, strategic partnerships, and business growth to ensure shareholder value.

A Konica Minolta veteran, Kurt Asari started his career with this company in 1998. In his 25 years of experience, he has worn multiple hats in the field of sales, marketing, strategic planning and business development in North/Central Americas and Middle East. This journey also includes his 13-year international stint before he joined India in 2018.

We are fully committed to the Indian market, and looking forward to building on Konica Minolta’s track record of success through the expansion of our core business. Fast melting, energy efficient and low maintenance, it reproduces superb quality on a wider range of media up to 400 g/m2. Intelligent Automation

By instantly detecting the precise stock being used, the optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101 significantly reduces production time. At the same time, the optional IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Care Unit ensures perfectly consistent color quality and front-to-back registration on every print in real time.  With no recalibrations or inspections mid-run, users benefit from printing image data now directly comparable with scanning data from IQ-501 with real time variable data print (VDP) inspection. It can be inspected for changes in text and images with real time color and registration adjustment.

Enhanced Finishing

As with the entire AccurioPress portfolio, a wide range of finishing and other functions are offered, in addition to booklet-making, stapling, perfect binding and wire binding. Konica Minolta’s TU-510, the world’s first inline cutting finisher, successfully introduced with the AccurioPress C14000 high-volume production printer, is available for the AccurioPress C7100 Series. The TU-510 is a four-edge trimmer and creaser that allows full-bleed finishing support for long sheets, booklets, catalogues, and dedicated business card cutting options.

Exceptional Durability

Reliability drives profitability. Among the new technologies built into the engine are a more durable lubricated drum, double corona wires with automatic cleaning, an optimized paper transport solution and a double swing registration system for improved paper compatibility and feeding accuracy.

Konica Minolta, India undertakes a new Go Green initiative “PRAYAAS, For Sustainability”

The brand intends to plant 4000 trees over a span of three years across multiple sites in India.

This further underlines its commitment towards improving the environment as a responsible corporate citizen who cares about sustainability.

India, August 23, 2021: Konica Minolta has recently celebrated its 11th Anniversary by hosting a tree plantation drive in association with SankalpTaru. As a part of this initiative, it has successfully planted 100 trees in the NCR region while strictly adhering to all COVID-19 safety protocols. The idea is not just to plant saplings and forget, instead they have arranged for tending to those till they become full grown trees and throughout their lifetime.

The AccurioPress C4070 & AccurioPrint C4065 are an all-in-one print factory that will help enable business growth through intelligent automation, outstanding image quality and print application diversity. The C4070 Series replaces the C3070 Series, an entry-level, light production press debuted in 2018. The new series also includes the AccurioPress C4070 and AccurioPrint C4065, a lighter version that can bridge the gap between an entry level Color and production print with the same image quality at a more affordable budget. The AccurioPress C4070 expands application offerings such as envelope printing without the need for an additional fuser. Experience unmatched productivity and versatility with the AccurioPress C4070 various finishing options, including booklets, perfect bound, punching, stapling, inline trimming, and stacking to meet customers’ needs and tap into new revenue streams. Productivity of C4070 / C4065 @300 GSM is 45 A4/26 A3 subsequently.

Advanced Automation

New to the C4070 Series is the IM-101 external media detection sensor, an optional sensor for measuring and identifying media, ensuring the correct media settings are selected no matter the operator’s skill. The TU-510, IM-101, and the IQ-501, a fully automated, closed-loop quality management tool, provide customers with the ability to produce fully-finished, high-quality, ready to be boxed output quickly and easily without skilled operators — meaning increased uptime, productivity, quality, and profit.

The AccurioPress C4070 Series brings automation to a new level with the Inline Trimmer Unit TU 501, which produces fully finished output with inline slitting and trimming and additional options for inline creasing (valley and mountain crease), business cards, postcard cutting and perforation (vertical and horizontal). Plus, the TU-510 has an option to deliver fully trimmed and creased long sheets of up to 51″ to the output tray.

Image Quality and Media Flexibility

The AccurioPress C4070 provides outstanding image quality with 3600 (equivalent) x2400 dpi resolution and prints duplex sheets up to 34”. Envelopes can be printed with the standard fuser at half speed, or full speed with an optional dedicated envelope fuser. The IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimizer also comes into play here, performing automatic density correction and front-to-back registration prior to printing. Media versatility up to 360 gsm will provide a wide portfolio of paper choices and print applications.
