Konica Minolta to Establish a New Domestic Company to Offer New Value to Customers by Leveraging Group-Wide Resources

Konica Minolta, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jun Haraguchi as the president of Konica Minolta Japan Co., Ltd., a new domestic company of the Konica Minolta Group. Haraguchi will take office as president on April 1, 2016.

Features of the New Company

In line with the TRANSFORM 2016 Medium Term Business Plan launched in 2014, Konica Minolta has been making progress towards transforming itself into a customer-centric company and realizing sustainable profit growth.
As part of its ongoing efforts, Konica Minolta will establish a new company to reinforce its contributions to its domestic customers’ value creation and business growth by supporting reforms to their digital workflows utilizing the expertise in digital marketing and digital manufacturing that Konica Minolta has accumulated through its own practices as a manufacturer, as well as by offering solutions tailored to specific needs of industries, such as manufacturing, healthcare, and commercial and industrial printing.

Purpose of Establishment of the New Company

The new company aims to achieve genre-top positions in the following business operations by offering value added solutions to customers to help them facilitate transformation to their digital workflows, thereby contributing to its customers’ value creation and business growth

  • Offer digital manufacturing services utilizing the data collected through the measuring instruments to assist customers in the automatization and integration of color and visual inspections for improvement of productivity, and to facilitate workflow reforms at production bases
  • Offer digital manufacturing services utilizing the data collected through the measuring instruments to assist customers in the automatization and integration of color and visual inspections for improvement of productivity, and to facilitate workflow reforms at production bases
  • Offer solutions to hospitals, clinics and nursing care facilities to promote workflow reforms in the areas of home medical care and nursing care
  • Offer a one-stop service by means of a wide range of digital printing systems to cater to diversified customer needs
