Konica Minolta’s machines and applications at Media Expo 2024

Konica Minolta’s machines and applications at Media Expo 2024

India, 25 October,2024: With the tagline ‘India Prints on Konica Minolta’, the global provider of printing solutions showcased two of its machines – the AccurioPress C7100 and AccurioPrint C4065- targeted at different printing segments, at Media Expo 2024 in New Delhi. These machines are designed to meet the needs of established businesses expanding their applications and new entrants.

During the expo, a Konica Minolta spokesperson explained the company’s approach to providing solutions to customers at different stages of their business journey. Whether a small business looking for its first high- performance printer or a major company seeking to diversify its offerings, Konica Minolta aims to provide versatile, high-quality printing solutions.

“We at Konica Minolta have an entire range of solutions for customers at all levels. Solutions for those entering the market, those looking to leap their business, and those maintaining their strong reputation,” the spokesperson said.

The AccurioPress C7100 is targeted at businesses looking to elevate their print production capabilities, particularly those looking for versatility across various applications. This press is designed to handle a range of substrates, making it ideal for companies seeking to expand their portfolio into high-margin, premium print products.

On the other hand, the AccurioPrint C4065 is geared at customers relatively new to the industry but looking to make a solid first step into digital print production. It offers an accessible price point while delivering excellent performance and reliability, making it a valuable option for startups or businesses expanding into new areas of print.

At Media Expo, the Konica Minolta team emphasized the importance of demonstrating the machines’ capabilities alongside the finished products. “We want people to come and see the machine along with the application. The customer will have a first-hand experience of the machine and see the results,” the spokesperson said.

According to him, if they see the finished products firsthand, potential buyers could better understand how these machines could meet their production needs and enhance their business.

One of Konica Minolta’s major selling points, highlighted at the expo, is its capability to offer a fully integrated system. He said the company develops and produces its hardware, print servers, and software, allowing a seamless operation across all its devices. “Being the only company that offers hardware, print server, and software is a major differentiator for us,” said the spokesperson.

With in-line perforation, cutting, and finishing already in place, the company will come up with in-line lamination next year, which has already been highlighted in drupa 2024.

Just past the middle of 2024, we can see that the Indian economy is resilient but the trajectory of the growth is still uneven. Consumption is erratic but in our industry while newspapers are still down, the book publishing and printing industry are building up capacities.

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. And by its diversification in packaging, (Packaging South Asia), food processing and packaging (IndiFoodBev) and health and medical supply chain and packaging (HealthTekPak) and its community activities in training, research, and conferences [Ipp Services, Training and Research www.ippstar.org] the organization continues to create platforms for quality information, data, technology insights and events.

India is a large and tough terrain and while its book publishing and commercial printing industry have recovered and are increasingly embracing digital print, the Indian newspaper industry needs to recover its credibility and readership. The signage industry is slowly recovering and shifting to digital billboards. New technologies such as digital 3D additive printing, digital textiles, and industrial printing are coming onto our pages. Trade media will have to adapt with agility to keep up with new business and technical information needs.
